McGregor comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Foggy Dew kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Max Lacroix could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Conor McGregor's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacroix steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McGregor.
Lacroix feints and then cracks McGregor's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McGregor down.
A solid leg kick lands there for Lacroix.
McGregor tries to clinch
and Lacroix counters with an inside leg kick.
McGregor shoots in for a takedown but Lacroix shows good takedown defense.

Lacroix moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! McGregor goes down! Can Lacroix finish him!?

It looks like Conor McGregor has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McGregor looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lacroix puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Lacroix perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Lacroix has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Lacroix.

Lacroix seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. McGregor is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Max Lacroix was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
Conor McGregor was interviewed post fight and said 'The opponent was the better fighter and the win backs that up. All I gotta do is come back stronger and get that 'W' '.
