Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Punt Hardman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Jackhammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Punt Hardman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackhammer tries to sprawl but Hardman drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hardman is looking to stall here but Jackhammer recovers full guard.

Hardman has gone for a leg lock! Jackhammer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hardman's guard.

Hardman can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackhammer advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hardman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jackhammer pulls his head out easily.

Jackhammer stalling away here and it's allowed Hardman to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackhammer looking to sit in guard and control but Hardman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hardman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackhammer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hardman, into his guard.

Jackhammer wants to control from the top but Hardman keeps moving.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Jackhammer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hardman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackhammer has managed to get both his arms back between Hardman's legs - danger averted.
Jackhammer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hardman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackhammer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackhammer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jackhammer wants to control from the top but Hardman keeps moving.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jackhammer wants to stand and escape but instead Hardman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jackhammer fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Hardman shoots in and bounces Jackhammer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hardman drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jackhammer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jackhammer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jackhammer!

Jackhammer is trying to control. Hardman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Jackhammer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hardman defends it well.

Hardman has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Jackhammer. Oh but Hardman has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Jackhammer goes limp - he's gone! Hardman jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
