The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Money wants to clinch up but Jelani keeps it at a distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jelani swats away the attempt to clinch by Money.
Money moves in looking to clinch but Jelani pushes him off.

Money takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Money moves into the clinch.
Jelani blocks a punch to the side of the head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jelani connects with a nice short shot to Money's temple.

Jelani looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Money with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

It looks like DJ Money has been cut.

Money manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Jelani keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Oh Money is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jelani is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Money pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Money seems to have got his legs back now.

Jelani has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Money is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

DJ Money has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jabari Jelani.
Money manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jelani seems to be looking for submissions.

Jelani lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Jelani lands a big elbow - Money is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Jelani!
