Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maxine clinches up with Bouyer and pushes him back against the cage.
Maxine stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Maxine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Maxine plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
A head kick from Maxine lands but Bouyer takes it in his stride.

Bouyer is rocked!
Maxine throws a sloppy head kick

and Bouyer counters with a shoot takedown. Maxine fights it but they end up in guard.
Bouyer is still in real trouble! Can Maxine finish him?

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bouyer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bouyer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bouyer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bouyer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Maxine counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bouyer's knee momentarily.

and Maxine counters with a three punch combo that has Bouyer backing up. Bouyer nods at Maxine to acknowledge the strikes.

Bouyer tries to clinch but Maxine moves away
and Maxine counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Bouyer out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Maxine is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
