Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tamati Kauri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leroy Johnstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnstone comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Can't be touched kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Leroy Johnstone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Leroy Johnstone!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnstone tries to clinch up.
Kauri feinted with a counter takedown.
Kauri on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Johnstone throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kauri closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Johnstone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kauri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kauri is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Johnstone as he works his way to full guard.
Johnstone wants to stand up but Kauri is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kauri is working hard here to advance position.
Kauri is pushing down on Johnstone's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnstone is fighting to maintain full guard but Kauri has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Kauri wants to free his trapped foot but Johnstone is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Johnstone wants to control but Kauri is keeping busy.
Kauri is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnstone doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kauri.
Kauri tries to pass to full mount but Johnstone defends it.
Kauri works his way into full mount!
Johnstone is looking to improve his position but Kauri isn't that keen on the idea.

Kauri is trying to take his opponent's back.
Kauri moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Johnstone has worked his arm free - good work by Johnstone!
Kauri tries to advance to mount but can't.
Kauri has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Johnstone!

Kauri moves to the back position.
Kauri has managed to slip his arm under Johnstone's chin. This could be all over... yep, Johnstone is tapping out! Submission win for Kauri.

Tamati Kauri spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
