Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boris Mishkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jasper Corpuz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jasper Corpuz struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mishkin shoots in for a takedown but Corpuz shows good takedown defense.

Corpuz goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mishkin is on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Corpuz is looking to advance position but Mishkin won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mishkin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Corpuz on the ground.

Corpuz drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mishkin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Corpuz has Mishkin in his guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Corpuz working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Mishkin has passed into half guard!

Mishkin wants to stand up but Corpuz has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Corpuz is working to tighten is grip on Mishkin's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mishkin has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Corpuz is really squeezing tight and eventually Mishkin passes out! Corpuz breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
