Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowman shoots in for a takedown but Smiff shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've been hearing reports that Bowman has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bowman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bowman lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Bowman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Smiff!
Bowman sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Smiff is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Bowman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Smiff tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bowman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smiff knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Bowman connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smiff some visible discomfort.

Bowman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Smiff wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Bowman has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Smiff's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Smiff is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Bowman!
