PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Soshnyanin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin Glass told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soshnyanin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Glass throws out a counter right but Soshnyanin avoids it with no problem.
Soshnyanin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Glass on the side of the head.
Glass takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Soshnyanin lands a nice shot that snaps Glass's head back.
Soshnyanin stuns Glass with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Soshnyanin lets loose with a powerful body kick. Glass will feel that in the morning.
Soshnyanin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Glass under the eye.
Soshnyanin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Torture rack in the buildup to the fight.
Viktor Soshnyanin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soshnyanin throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Glass.

It looks like Martin Glass has been cut.
Soshnyanin punishes Glass's body with a nice straight punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Soshnyanin scores with a sloppy right hand. Glass should have avoided that one.
Glass steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Soshnyanin.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Soshnyanin with a nice cross.
Soshnyanin lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Soshnyanin scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Crunch! Soshnyanin slams his shin into Glass's torso.
Soshnyanin with a hook.
Soshnyanin loads up on a big right hand but Glass slips the punch.
Soshnyanin throws an overhand right that lands on Glass's shoulder, as Glass tries to avoid the shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Glass! But no joy.
Soshnyanin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Soshnyanin misses with a body shot.
Glass throws out a counter right but Soshnyanin avoids it with no problem.
Glass takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Soshnyanin lands a really nice looking cross but Glass seems unphased.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Soshnyanin, as that shot connected.
Soshnyanin works over Glass's head and body with a nice combination.

Glass is rocked!
Soshnyanin lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Glass up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Soshnyanin from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Glass's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
