The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahmood shoots for a takedown but Higuchi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Higuchi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mahmood can't do much from the bottom here.
Higuchi has an Americana. Mahmood didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Higuchi is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Higuchi hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Rei Higuchi!
Rei Higuchi bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
