Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Enoch Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Blake.
Blake throws a nice looking combination but Thompson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Thompson lands a lovely overhand right.
Jesse Blake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blake shoots in but Thompson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Thompson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Blake's head.
A good leg kick by Thompson.

Blake tries to keep at a distance but Thompson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Thompson swings wildly with an uppercut but Blake uses good head movement to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Blake has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
The referee calls for Thompson to work.
Thompson misses with a hook from the clinch.
Blake is trying to push Thompson away but Thompson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Still in the clinch, Thompson scores with a nice short uppercut.
Blake is leaning against Thompson and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Blake lands an uppercut.

Thompson prevents Blake from breaking the clinch.
Thompson tries a body shot but Blake blocks it.
Blake blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Blake misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Thompson misses with a short punch on the inside.
Blake can't find room to land a body shot as Thompson controls the action.

Blake wriggles free and stands up.

Blake darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blake takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Blake working over Thompson with some ground and pound. Thompson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Blake is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thompson won't allow Blake to pass to mount.

Blake has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
