Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wilfredo Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Hilbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wilfredo Montoya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan Hilbert!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya lands with a nice combination. Hilbert backs away looking to recover.
Montoya misses with a body shot.
Montoya looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Montoya misses with a takedown attempt - Hilbert sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hilbert checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Hilbert looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Montoya is fending him off so far but Hilbert persists. Nope, Montoya circles away and we're back to standing.
Montoya throws a right hand that Hilbert ducks under and follows up with a left that Hilbert also avoids with ease.
Hilbert throws a series of punches but Montoya moves out of range.

Hilbert drives through with a takedown into Montoya's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Hilbert drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hilbert jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hilbert lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Montoya down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hilbert has the hooks in. Montoya is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Hilbert is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Hilbert doesn't have the hooks in and Montoya manages to turn into his guard.
Montoya is fighting to break Hilbert's control of his arms but Hilbert is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Hilbert is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hilbert can do anything to dispel that myth.

Montoya wants to get back to striking at distance but Hilbert won't allow it.

Hilbert has hold of one of Montoya's legs. Montoya is fighting the takedown attempt but Hilbert gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hilbert is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Montoya can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hilbert controls the pace.
Hilbert wants to get up but he can't break Montoya's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hilbert stands up over Montoya, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Montoya is on top in guard.

Hilbert is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Montoya is staying active.

Montoya is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hilbert just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromMontoya.
Montoya tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hilbert was well out of range. Poor timing from Montoya.
Hilbert shoots in and drives through. Montoya sprawls well.

Montoya lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hilbert stuffs the takedown attempt from Montoya. Montoya gets slowly back to his feet.
Montoya tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hilbert manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hilbert shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Montoya's guard.

Hilbert has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Montoya is working away from the top position though.

Hilbert has a hand on Montoya's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Montoya takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Hilbert is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Montoya is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hilbert tries to lock up and control but Montoya gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Wilfredo Montoya showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Hilbert has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
