PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glorious Tyrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson comes to the cage accompanied by The Boys Are Back by Dropkick Murphys. Glorious Tyrone told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson just misses with a punch to the body.
Thompson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Thompson misses with a head kick.
Tyrone changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Tyrone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thompson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tyrone moves away.
Tyrone is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Thompson misses with a looping left.

Thompson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Tyrone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Thompson pushes Tyrone off looking to stand but Tyrone dives back in and keeps control.

Tyrone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Thompson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tyrone.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Thompson sizes up Tyrone with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Tyrone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Thompson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Tyrone lands with an uppercut that bounces Thompson off the cage and back into range.

No joy there for Tyrone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Thompson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Thompson gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Tyrone gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Thompson is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
