The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wu gets tackled into the cage by Hicks. Hicks maintains the clinch.
Hicks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hicks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Wu counters with a left and a right that stings Hicks.

Hicks has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wu is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hicks lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Wu backwards.
Hicks is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Wu is defending well for now.
Hicks pushes off an throws an elbow but Wu leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Hicks tries for a takedown but Wu manages to get underhooks.

Hicks is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wu.

Nice uppercut lands for Hicks. That snapped Wu's head back.

Hicks moves into range and clinches up with Wu.

Hicks has been working on his balance at Island Top Team, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Wu.

Hicks changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wu fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Wu swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Wu gets tackled into the cage by Hicks. Hicks maintains the clinch.

Wu throws a body shot but no joy.
Hicks rushes Wu and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hicks has Wu pressed against the cage, preventing Wu from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hicks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hicks misses with a series of wild punches.
Hicks slips under a jab from Wu.
Hicks takes the fight into the clinch.
Hicks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hicks darts in trying to clinch
enabling Wu to counter with a crisp jab.

Wu smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A punch combination from Hicks misses.
A little jabbing left from Wu on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hicks tries to clinch but Wu moves away
and Wu counters with a three punch combo that has Hicks backing up. Hicks nods at Wu to acknowledge the strikes.
Hicks throws a lazy right hand but Wu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hicks looks to land a left hand but Wu moved out of range nicely.
A jab from Wu finds it's way through Hicks's defenses.
Hicks throws a combination that misses
and Wu counters with a straight right hand.
Hicks is rocked!
Wu connects with a stiff jab that staggers Hicks - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
