Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Pocketts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finlay Hope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pocketts comes to the cage accompanied by Hajime No Ippo. This should be a great matchup!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Finlay Hope!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pocketts is looking to clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hope breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hope gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Pocketts gets caught flat footed, as Hope shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hope, as that shot connected.

Hope has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Pocketts is trying to keep an underhook but Hope manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Pocketts has hold of Hope's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hope manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brendan Pocketts.
Well Hope has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
