And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puno throws a body shot but no joy.
Kajun Puno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poole looks to land a right hand but Puno moved out of range.
Poole scores with a hook.
Poole pivots, looking for a leg kick but Puno is out of range and Poole settles back down.
Puno was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Puno loads up on a big right hand but Poole slips the punch.
A solid body kick from Puno.
An inside leg kick from Puno misses.
Poole looks to throw the jab but Puno is out of range.
And Puno responds with a good body kick, but Poole manages to step out the way in time.
Sloppy strikes from Puno. Those never looked like landing.
A slow jab from Puno misses its intended target.
Nice body punch from Puno.
Puno throws a jab when Poole was well out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Poole avoids a kick to the body.
Poole takes a jab right on the kisser.
Puno checks the leg kick.
Puno keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Puno tries to land a front kick but Poole steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Puno lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Will Poole has been cut.

Poole takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Puno pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Puno throws a right hand that Poole ducks under and follows up with a left that Poole also avoids with ease.
Puno lands with an overhand left.

Poole gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Puno gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Poole is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kajun Puno!
