The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson has closed the distance and engaged Xerxes in a clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Xerxes as Anderson tries to tie him up.
Anderson is trying to stall.

A nice right hand lands inside from Xerxes.
Anderson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Anderson tries to stall but Xerxes uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Xerxes lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

It looks like Luther Anderson has been cut.

Anderson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Xerxes gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rostam Xerxes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luther Anderson.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Xerxes stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Xerxes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Xerxes seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Xerxes throws an uppercut from hell that sends Anderson clean off his feet! He's out cold! Xerxes stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
