Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Polle Metvurst!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metvurst shoots for a takedown but Mason saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Mason moves into range and clinches up with Metvurst.
Mason misses with a body punch.
Mason tries a body shot but Metvurst blocks it.
Metvurst takes a knee to the side of the body.
Mason landing knees to the head.
Mason lands an elbow just above Metvurst 's eye.
Mason scores with a knee to the head.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mason creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Metvurst prevents a body shot from Mason.
Mason lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mason will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Metvurst up against the cage.

Metvurst goes for a takedown attempt but Mason pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Metvurst closes the distance and clinches up with Mason, looking for a takedown. Metvurst pushes Mason against the cage but Mason circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Aaron Mason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Polle Metvurst.
Mason smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Mason counters with an outside leg kick.

Mason breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Metvurst sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Metvurst tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Metvurst takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Metvurst fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mason, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

It looks like Polle Metvurst has been cut.

Mason seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Mason working the clinch nicely. Metvurst is working for position but Mason cracks him with a big knee to the head! Metvurst crumples up against the cage and Mason lands two more shots before the ref can save Metvurst! This one is all over!
