Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Convicted Project (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Poorly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Convicted Project has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Drew Poorly!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poorly lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Project swats away the attempt to clinch by Poorly.
Drew Poorly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Project gets tackled into the cage by Poorly. Poorly maintains the clinch.
Poorly swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Poorly escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Project will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Project slips a straight right by Poorly.
Poorly throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Project shoots in looking for a takedown but Poorly manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Project's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Project closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Project lands in his opponent's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Project accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close round but I would say that Convicted Project will probably get the nod.

Poorly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Project. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Project is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Poorly has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Project has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Poorly taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Project doesn't care though - he's delighted!
