The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriquez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A jab from Rodriquez does it's job there.
No joy there for Rodriquez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rodriquez throws a nice looking combination but hitman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

hitman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
hitman works his way into full mount!

hitman goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rodriquez turns into him and now he's in hitman's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like Schaller hitman has been cut.
Rodriquez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

hitman is trying to move to mount but Rodriquez reverses beautifully and ends up in hitman's guard.
hitman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
hitman wants to advance to full mount but Rodriquez doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Rodriquez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst hitman is controlling him.

Rodriquez wants to get up but he can't break hitman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rodriquez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rodriquez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by hitman.

Rodriquez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but hitman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

hitman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rodriquez's guard.

hitman is looking for a kimura but Rodriquez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for hitman to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

hitman is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
hitman wants to pass to mount but Rodriquez is defending the position.

hitman has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Rodriquez!

hitman is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rodriquez has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rodriquez!

Rodriquez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but hitman has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rodriquez is looking to defend but hitman has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rodriquez! hitman pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rodriquez taps out and this one is all over!
