Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Spartacus Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eindria Chao!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Chao wants to get back to his feet but Halo passes into half guard.
Halo slips a nice elbow through Chao's hands, connecting with Chao's forehead.
Chao is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Halo working over Chao with some ground and pound. Chao looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Halo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chao knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chao is trying to maintain the position but Halo is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Halo lands a nice short elbow.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chao can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Halo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Chao tries to get to full guard but Halo has control of the leg.
Halo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chao does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Halo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

It looks like Eindria Chao has been cut.
Chao is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Chao is still in real trouble! Can Halo finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Halo scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Chao is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Halo can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
