Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taton Mickael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Long!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Taton Mickael!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mickael shoots for a double leg takedown but Long sprawls well. He's pushed Mickael's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Horrible takedown by Mickael or perhaps it was just good defense by Long which made him look bad.
Long tries to clinch but Mickael moves out of range.
Alex Long seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mickael fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Long sprawls well initially but Mickael persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mickael is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Long doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mickael.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mickael accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Long wants to sweep here but Mickael controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mickael trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Mickael decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Long moves in looking to clinch but Mickael pushes him off.
Mickael misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Alex Long has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taton Mickael.
Long tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mickael swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Mickael counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Long's guard now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Long is on top in guard.

Long wants to control from the top but Mickael keeps moving.
Long stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mickael swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mickael doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mickael utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Long preventing the sweep.
Long looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Mickael throws his legs up looking for a submission but Long uses it to pass to side control.
Mickael looks gassed!

Mickael wants to get back to his feet but Long drags him back down.
Mickael struggling a bit here.
Long is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mickael will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Long wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mickael keeps working.

Long decides to stand back up.
Long tries to clinch but Mickael is having none of it.
Long displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Long throws a half hearted mid kick.
Long throws the kick towards the body but Mickael avoids it.
Mickael has his takedown stuffed
and Long counters with a series of strikes. Mickael will be more careful next time no doubt.
Long lands with a hook. Mickael tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

so Mickael counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Taton Mickael will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Long shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Mickael is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Long landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Long working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Long wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mickael keeps working.

Long is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mickael is just riding it out for now. Long eventually gives up the hold.
Mickael wants to control but Long is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Long is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Mickael is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
