Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hongi Hika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maki Pulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pulu has chosen Alive as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hika was well out of range. Poor timing from Pulu.
Hika appears to be looking for a big counter.
Hika uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pulu.
Pulu takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Maki Pulu has been cut.
Pulu takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A shot to the liver by Pulu. Beautiful body shot.
Pulu dives in and grabs Hika's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hika pushes down on Pulu's head and hops out.
Pulu takes one on the button.
Hika thuds a left hand into Pulu's body.
Hika is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Pulu lands a body shot.
Hika thows a left - swing and a miss!
Pulu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pulu connects with the punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pulu works Hika's body with a nice hook.
Hika jabs Pulu right on the nose. Pulu blinks but takes it well.
A telegraphed right hand from Pulu misses the target.
A little feinted left hand from Hika on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Pulu lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Hika blocks a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hika lands a nice hook to Pulu's body. Pulu takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Pulu takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice body punch from Hika.
We've been told by Hika's head coaches at Academy of Arse Whoopers that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hika. That's going to slow Pulu down.
Pulu misses the body punch
and Hika counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That has opened up Maki Pulu's cut even more.
Pulu throws a leg kick but Hika moved away.
Hika throws a low kick, looking for Pulu's leg but Pulu calmly moves out of range.
Pulu misses with an uppercut

and Hika counters with a crisp right hand that drops Pulu! Hika lets Pulu back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Pulu is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hika lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Pulu crumples to the floor! Hika milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Hongi Hika!
After winning the bout, Hongi Hika thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
