And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Wanhanen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Edberg drops Wanhanen with a big left hand and mounts him. Wanhanen is in big trouble!

It looks like Matti Wanhanen has been cut.
Wanhanen tries to hold on but Edberg postures up.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Edberg throws a lazy right hand but Wanhanen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Wanhanen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wanhanen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Edberg is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Wanhanen.

Edberg is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
I would not like to be Edberg right now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Will Wanhanen go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Wanhanen looking to break Edberg's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Edberg remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Wanhanen will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Wanhanen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Edberg to the mat! Edberg manages to get full guard.

Wanhanen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wanhanen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Wanhanen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Edberg is on top in guard.
Wanhanen is trying to control the position but Edberg postures up.

Wanhanen has control of Edberg's left arm, preventing Edberg from doing any damage.

Wanhanen has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Edberg has passed into side control.
Wanhanen manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Wanhanen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Edberg is just riding it out for now. Wanhanen eventually gives up the hold.

Wanhanen is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Edberg has managed to free his arm - good work.

Edberg won't allow Wanhanen to pass to mount.

Wanhanen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Edberg sees it coming and defends easily.
Edberg wants to control but Wanhanen is keeping busy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wanhanen controlling the pace.
Wanhanen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Edberg for as long as he can get away with.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Edberg wants to improve his position but Wanhanen is controlling well.
