The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lineker.

Lineker lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mendes down.

You get the feeling that Mendes really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Lineker lands a big shot there that rocks Mendes but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Lineker is landing with some decent strikes but Mendes is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Lineker lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Mendes is rocked!
The referee warns Mendes that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Oh Mendes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mendes is squirming around, avoiding Lineker's attempts to control the action.

A big strike lands for Lineker! That's really hurt Mendes and he's turned his back - Lineker keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Lineker jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
