Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bennito Masqual (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pius Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masqual comes to the cage accompanied by Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masqual misses with a few strikes there.
Paul falls off balance throwing a combination
and Masqual holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Masqual prevents Paul from breaking the clinch.
Paul wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Paul wants to break the clinch but can't.
Paul is looking to break free of the clinch but Masqual has double underhooks.
Masqual tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Paul smiles and moves away.
Masqual tries to close the distance and clinch up but Paul swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Paul looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Paul throws a hook to the side of Masqual's head but Masqual sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Paul throws the left hand but Masqual avoids the punch easily.
Paul throws a left and a right that both miss
and Masqual counters by moving into the clinch.
Paul is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Paul wants to break the clinch but can't.
Paul pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Paul throws a combination that misses
and Masqual counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Masqual prevents Paul from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Paul is not content to let Masqual control the position.

Paul is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Masqual lands a nice short elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Masqual connects with a nice short shot to Paul's temple.
Paul throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Masqual is looking for a kimura here.
Masqual wants to pass to mount but Paul is defending the position.
Masqual looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Paul wants to improve his position but Masqual is controlling well.

Paul wants to get back to full guard but Masqual has mounted him!
Paul is looking to improve his position but Masqual isn't that keen on the idea.
Paul is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Masqual has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Masqual forces the positional change into back control.
Masqual tightening his grip on Paul, looking for the choke.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Masqual gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Masqual wants to control but Paul is keeping busy.

Paul has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Masqual is cranking Paul's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Paul! He's tightened the choke and Paul is tapping out!
