The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oalognov throws a lazy head kick
and Echojile counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Oalognov throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Echojile counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Oalognov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Echojile is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Oalognov throws a head kick but Echojile moves out of range.
Oalognov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Echojile unleashes a big counter combination but Oalognov bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
A head kick misses from Oalognov.
Echojile throws out a powerful jab.

Oalognov lands a left and a right that send Echojile crashing to the mat, dazed. Oalognov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Echojile is rocked!

It looks like Emmanuel Echojile has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Echojile blocks a head kick by Oalognov.
Echojile is still on wobbly legs! Can Oalognov finish him?

Oalognov rushes Echojile and presses him up against the cage.

Oalognov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Echojile seems to have recovered his senses.
Echojile works Oalognov's body with a nice hook.
Echojile scores with a leg kick.
Good work by Oalognov as he checks the leg kick.
Oalognov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Echojile unleashes a big counter combination but Oalognov bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Oalognov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Oalognov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Oalognov clinches.

Oalognov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Oalognov swats away the attempt to clinch by Echojile.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Echojile fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fighters circle, before Oalognov throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Echojile's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Oalognov lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
