PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Grimrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tree Sclounce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sclounce has chosen Fire Man Sam as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Summer Carpenter and Topper Green.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimrock tries to clinch but Sclounce is having none of it.
Sclounce stuffs the takedown.
A swing and a miss from Grimrock.

Grimrock shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sclounce manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Sclounce working for a triangle but Grimrock defends it easily.

Sclounce had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Grimrock defends it easily.
Grimrock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grimrock loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Grimrock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sclounce swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sclounce is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grimrock defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sclounce is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sclounce wants to sweep here but Grimrock controlling him for the moment.
Sclounce is still trying to improve position.
Grimrock slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sclounce is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Grimrock is aware though and is defending well.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Grimrock is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sclounce has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Grimrock is looking to defend but Sclounce has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Grimrock! Sclounce pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Grimrock taps out and this one is all over!
