Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Seagull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Kipper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seagull comes into the arena with Jay Z Encore blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Steven Seagull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Kipper!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seagull lands with a straight right. Kipper didn't see that one coming.
Seagull works over Kipper's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Rob Kipper has been cut.
Seagull avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kipper fails with an attempt to clinch.
Seagull was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Seagull lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Seagull looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Seagull looking to sit in guard and control but Kipper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

My spies in Quick Fingers BEST BANG FOR BUCK Gym inform me that Kipper has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Seagull wants to get back to his feet but Kipper passes into half guard.
Seagull wants to improve his position but Kipper is controlling well.
Kipper slows the pace down in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kipper seems to be looking for submissions.
Kipper looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Seagull with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kipper is looking for a kimura here.

Seagull is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Seagull is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kipper decides to stand and escape the position.
Seagull slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kipper tries to clinch but Seagull is having none of it.
Good shot there by Seagull.
Kipper fails with a takedown attempt.
Seagull looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Seagull swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kipper fails to land the takedown.
Left hook, right uppercut from Seagull.
Seagull pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kipper back to the cage. Seagull follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Seagull fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Seagull shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kipper's guard.

Kipper pushes Seagull off and gets back to his feet.

Seagull looking for subs off his back but Kipper has passed one foot through into half guard.
Kipper controlling the action here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steven Seagull dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rob Kipper's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Seagull leaves Kipper with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Seagull lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kipper takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Seagull drops Kipper with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kipper looks back up at him and smiles so Seagull waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Kipper is rocked!
Steven Seagull is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Seagull drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kipper is still in real trouble! Can Seagull finish him?
Seagull tries to stand but Kipper is controlling from the bottom.
Seagull knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kipper on the ground.
Seagull trying to control the position from guard on top but Kipper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Seagull gets to his feet. Kipper looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Seagull throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Seagull lands a big right hook! Kipper looks hurt but is still standing! Seagull lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Kipper falls down and Seagull dives in with a huge hammer fist! Kipper's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Seagull runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Steven Seagull!
Steven Seagull tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
