Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Foster Hester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wladimir Klitschko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Foster Hester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wladimir Klitschko!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Klitschko drives through and clinches with Hester against the cage.
Hester tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Klitschko just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hester lands an elbow inside that Klitschko shrugs off.

Hester breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hester could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hester gets caught flat footed, as Klitschko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Hester keeping moving, preventing Klitschko from controlling successfully.

Hester pushes Klitschko off and scrambles back to his feet.
Hester fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Klitschko shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hester pushes Klitschko off but Klitschko dives into side control.
Hester knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Klitschko on the ground.

Klitschko grinds an elbow into Hester's temple.
Check out the look on Klitschko's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Klitschko works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Wladimir Klitschko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Klitschko decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Klitschko is keen to just control but Hester is a slippery customer.
Hester tries to kick Klitschko off but Klitschko keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Klitschko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hester is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hester looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hester is not content to let Klitschko control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Klitschko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Klitschko closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hester quickly recovers to half guard.

Hester is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Hester is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Klitschko is looking to work some ground and pound but Hester has wrist control.
Klitschko looking to sit in guard and control but Hester gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Klitschko is on top in guard.

Hester pulls Klitschko in close to prevent any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hester ducks under a wild hook from Klitschko.

Klitschko has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hester jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Klitschko walks away with a smile on his face. Hester gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hester has managed to clinch.
Klitschko on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hester tries to pull guard but Klitschko forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Klitschko wants to break free but Hester has control.

Klitschko has clasped his hands together around Hester's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Klitschko stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Hester gets tackled into the cage by Klitschko. Klitschko maintains the clinch.
Hester tries to pull guard but Klitschko forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Foster Hester. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A body shot lands from Klitschko.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Klitschko pushes Hester back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Klitschko turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Klitschko manages to end up in side control.

Hester throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Hester tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Klitschko just stands there and leans against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Klitschko ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Klitschko no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Hester throws a big elbow that misses.
Hester might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Klitschko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hester gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Klitschko wants to stand but Hester is controlling the position.

Hester drops back looking for a leg! Klitschko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Klitschko manages to kick Hester off! Hester jumps back into Klitschko's guard.
Hester is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Hester with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hester's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Klitschko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hester manages to get himself to full guard.

Hester is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Klitschko is fighting to break Hester's control of his arms but Hester is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Hester trying to keep a closed guard but Klitschko is proving a slippery customer.
Klitschko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hester is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Hester counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wladimir Klitschko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Hester's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


No joy there for Klitschko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Klitschko has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hester tries to sprawl but Klitschko drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Hester manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Klitschko keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Hester makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Klitschko fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hester to the ground. Klitschko is now in Hester's guard.

Hester uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Klitschko avoids the head kick by Hester.
Klitschko lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Foster Hester is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Klitschko darts in and clinches Hester up against the cage.

Hester's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hester throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Klitschko was covering up waiting for the punch and Hester finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Klitschko pushes Hester off and scrambles back to his feet.

Klitschko shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hester has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Klitschko is on him like a limpet, forcing Hester back against the cage.

Klitschko has Hester pressed against the cage, preventing Hester from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hester is trying to break the clinch but Klitschko has him pressed against the cage.
