The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

You can see the frustration on Sudo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
shoots for a takedown but Sudo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Sudo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in 's guard.
Sudo is breathing heavily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sudo has picked up and slammed him! can't keep hold of the triangle and Sudo manages to pass to side control!

Sudo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Sudo drops back looking for a leg! is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and manages to kick Sudo off! Sudo jumps back into 's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but RIZZLA will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
shoots in but Sudo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

tries to close the distance and clinch but Sudo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sudo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Sudo rushes and presses him up against the cage.
drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bengui Sudo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of RIZZLA .

Sudo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics uses from the top position.

drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sudo pulls in close to his closed guard and prevents from doing any damage or advancing position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sudo.
is not content to let Sudo control the position.

is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Sudo has worked his way into a potential kimura here. is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sudo yanks on the arm and is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sudo.
