Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Guzman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Ash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Ash!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guzman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ash throws a series of punches but Guzman moves out of range.
Ash checks a leg kick.
Guzman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ash avoids the head kick by Guzman.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Guzman tries to close the distance and clinch but Ash swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ash crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Guzman - the referee stops the clock and Ash gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Guzman. Ash manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That was a close second round but I would say that Esteban Guzman will probably get the nod.

Guzman turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Guzman feints and then cracks Ash's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ash down.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Guzman goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Ash avoids the head kick by Guzman.
Guzman throws a hook but Ash blocks it.
Guzman throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Esteban Guzman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
