The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter has Alves up against the cage in a clinch.
Alves takes a shot to the head.
A short right from Fighter on the inside.
Alves blocks an uppercut.
Fighter lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Alves backwards.
Alves has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fighter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Fighter swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Alves is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fighter to keep the fight standing.
Fighter working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Alves blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Alves tries to pull guard but Fighter won't allow it.
I was talking to Fighter's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Nameless Fighter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Alves.
Alves tries to pull guard but Fighter forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Fighter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Fighter.
Fighter misses with a hook from the clinch.
Fighter lands a right hand that snaps the head of Alves backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alves tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fighter smiles and moves away.
Fighter connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Alves to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nameless Fighter!
Nameless Fighter took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
