Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Camacho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, George Camacho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camacho avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Camacho blocks a head kick by Edwards.

Edwards bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Camacho tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Camacho parries the strikes from Edwards easily there. Edwards is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Camacho to escape.

Edwards looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Camacho really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Camacho is looking for a sweep.
Camacho is working hard here to advance position.
Edwards in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Camacho gets back to half guard.
Camacho makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Camacho.

Camacho tries to roll over but Edwards keeps him under control.
Camacho is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Edwards's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Edwards's back!
Camacho lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Edwards is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Edwards wants to escape the position.

I would not like to be Edwards right now.
Camacho will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Edwards manages to reverse the position and now he's in Camacho's guard. Nice work there by Edwards.

Camacho is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Edwards scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Camacho manages to mount him!

Camacho won't let Edwards get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Camacho lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Camacho wants to control the pace but Edwards is squirming around nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edwards gets back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Edwards is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Camacho pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that George Camacho will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Edwards closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Edwards pulls guard successfully.
Edwards wants to stand up but Camacho is controlling him.

Edwards looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Camacho has picked Edwards up and slammed him! Edwards can't keep hold of the triangle and Camacho manages to pass to side control!

Camacho wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Edwards, who protects the arm well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Edwards tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Camacho presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Camacho lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Edwards wants to improve his position but Camacho is controlling well.
Camacho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Edwards does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Edwards tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Camacho has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Edwards sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Camacho is thwarting Edwards's attempts to control the position.

Edwards kicks off Camacho and gets to his feet.

Camacho shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Edwards throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Edwards tries to close the distance and clinch up but Camacho swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Edwards throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Camacho connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Camacho keeps the fight on the outside.
Edwards throws a half hearted mid kick.
Edwards tries to clinch but Camacho is having none of it.
Camacho shoots in for a double leg but Edwards sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Camacho looks for a takedown but Edwards sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Camacho. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Camacho looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Edwards is fending him off so far but Camacho persists. Nope, Edwards circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

George Camacho is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Edwards instigates a clinch.

Edwards pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Edwards drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Edwards has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Camacho gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Owen Edwards showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


The fight stays on the outside here - Camacho looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Edwards has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Camacho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Edwards controls Camacho momentarily but Camacho frees himself.

Edwards will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Edwards keeping moving, preventing Camacho from controlling successfully.
Edwards wants to control but Camacho passes easily into half guard.
Edwards takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Camacho is looking for a kimura here.
Edwards trying to control but Camacho postures up.

Edwards wants to get back to full guard but Camacho has passed into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Edwards is looking to reverse the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Edwards is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Edwards closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Camacho did well to prevent Edwards getting side control.
Edwards is taking a breather. Camacho says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Camacho wants to get back to full guard.

Edwards stands up and beckons Camacho to join him on the feet.
Edwards tries to clinch up
and Camacho counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Edwards displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Camacho.

Owen Edwards comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Edwards has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
