Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with a double jab
and Whitehead counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Whitehead.
Whitehead looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Diaz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Whitehead gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Diaz looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Whitehead passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Whitehead pushes past his half guard into mount!

Whitehead manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Diaz is fighting off a takedown attempt but Whitehead is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Diaz to the mat. Diaz regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Whitehead pushes Diaz off and gets back to his feet.
Diaz looks to land a combination but Whitehead avoids it well.

Diaz lands with a nice combination. Whitehead backs away looking to recover.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Whitehead is rocked!
Diaz lands with a right and another and another! Whitehead is in big trouble! Diaz lands again and this time it's lights out for Whitehead! A quality knockout there for Diaz.
