Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steven tries for a takedown but Foley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Foley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Foley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Steven is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Foley, into his guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Foley can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steven drops back looking for a leg! Foley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Foley manages to kick Steven off! Steven jumps back into Foley's guard.

Steven wants to pass the guard but Foley is keeping the position.

Foley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steven. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Steven drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Steven jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Steven has gone for a leg lock! Foley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Steven's guard.

Foley throws a sloppy strike and Steven has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Foley is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Steven!
