Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gwegowy East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ozamataz Buckshank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think East might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I Can't Think- Whole Wheat Bread. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gwegowy East!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ozamataz Buckshank!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
East shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buckshank as he jumps to the side.
It seemed like Buckshank was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
East chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Buckshank can pounce on him.
Nice sprawl there from Buckshank as East shoots in.
Buckshank lands with a kick to the ribs.

East bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Buckshank wants to control but East postures up.
East trying to control the position but Buckshank is working away.
Buckshank manages to get back to half guard.
East throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Buckshank is refusing to be controlled, as East sits in half guard.
Buckshank is trying to maintain the position but East is very close to passing his half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ground and pound from East.
Buckshank wants to improve his position but East is controlling well.
Buckshank works his way to full guard. Good work.
East looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as East accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Buckshank is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
East has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Buckshank has his foot on East's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. East works his way back into a safe position though.
East wants to control from the top but Buckshank keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

East got a little sloppy there for a moment and Buckshank has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, East has managed to get both his arms back between Buckshank's legs - danger averted.
East preventing the sweep.
East wants to control from the top but Buckshank keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Buckshank throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Buckshank explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
East moves forwards but Buckshank connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Buckshank swinging wildly here.
Buckshank connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
East takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
East attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
East moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromBuckshank.
Buckshank dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on East. That did some damage!
East cracks Buckshank with a right hand to the side of the head.
East looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
East looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
East backing away here, and Buckshank unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
East fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gwegowy East. That's going to take a lot out of him.
East with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Buckshank to score with a decent uppercut.
Buckshank comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Buckshank slips a jab and a cross from East.
Buckshank pushes East away with a front kick.
East is breathing heavily.
East walks into a left hand.
Buckshank uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from East.
Buckshank lands a front kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Buckshank cracks East with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! East looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Buckshank finish him?


East is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Buckshank connects with an inside leg kick.
Oh East is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! East crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Buckshank - the referee stops the clock and East gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Buckshank. East manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Buckshank flashes East a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. East's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. East crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Buckshank punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ozamataz Buckshank!
Ozamataz Buckshank very nearly forgot to thank Flying Knee Clothing amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
