Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Vanna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for George Johnson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Johnson is predictable there

and Vanna decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Vanna passes into half guard.

Vanna thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.

Vanna throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Johnson is trying to maintain the position but Vanna is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vanna seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
George Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Vanna counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Johnson!
Johnson tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Johnson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
