Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julian Sandar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julian Sandar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Riley!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riley clinches up against the cage.

Riley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck for Sandar with that takedown attempt.
Riley tries to clinch there but Sandar circles away.

Riley wants to clinch up but Sandar keeps it at a distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sandar.
Riley is looking to clinch.

Sandar rushes Riley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Riley comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Julian Sandar has been cut.
Sandar doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Sandar pulls guard successfully.
Sandar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Riley is one step ahead there.
Riley has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sandar is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sandar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sandar being controlled here, momentarily.

Sandar working for a triangle but Riley defends it easily.
Riley stays in close to Sandar's body and controls the position.

Sandar wants to stand up but Riley is controlling him.
Sandar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Riley is one step ahead there.
Riley passes Sandar's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sandar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
It looks like Riley is going to stand back up.
Riley is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Riley decides to return to a standing position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A head kick from Riley lands but Sandar takes it in his stride.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riley doesn't manage to clinch there - Sandar circles away.

Riley is trying to control Sandar's posture but Sandar avoids it.

Sandar decides to stand up, so the ref orders Riley to his feet.

and Riley counters by moving into the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Riley is trying to stand.

Sandar wants to pass to mount but Riley is defending the position.

Sandar is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Sandar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Riley is just riding it out for now. Sandar eventually gives up the hold.
Riley looks like he's trying to stand up.

Riley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sandar is working away from the top position though.
Riley is not content to let Sandar control the position.
Sandar throws a strike but Riley avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Riley wants to clinch but Sandar slips to the side

and Sandar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Riley's guard.

Sandar won't allow Riley to get back to his feet.
Sandar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sandar wants to control from the top but Riley keeps moving.
Riley trying to keep a closed guard but Sandar is proving a slippery customer.

The fight stays on the outside here - Riley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Riley counters by moving into the clinch.

Riley crunches a lovely knee into Sandar's ribcage.
Riley lands an elbow that stopped Sandar in his tracks for a moment.

Riley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Riley misses with a series of wild punches.

Riley fails with an attempt to clinch.
Riley tries to grapple but his opponent circles

so Sandar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Riley is looking to stand up but Sandar isn't so interested in that idea.

Sandar trying to control but Riley is working from the bottom.
Sandar controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Riley is pulling down on Sandar's head to control his posture.
Julian Sandar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sandar thows a big elbow that misses.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Riley tries to clinch but Sandar moves away

and Sandar counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Sandar throwing shots but Riley is blocking nicely.
Sandar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Riley keeps working.

Sandar decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Riley is looking to clinch but Sandar is avoiding it.

Riley moves into range and clinches up with Sandar.

And that's the end of the fight!
Julian Sandar showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sandar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
