Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ned Bigsbee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Awesome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bigsbee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gin & Juice. Johnny Awesome will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Awesome. That snapped Bigsbee's head back.
Bigsbee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bigsbee has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Awesome.
Ned Bigsbee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bigsbee looking to score a takedown here. Awesome is defending well but Bigsbee drives through and ends up in Awesome's guard.
Awesome looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bigsbee is one step ahead there.
Awesome has his hands on Bigsbee's head, controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Awesome looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We've been hearing good reports from Bigsbee's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Awesome bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bigsbee's guard.

Bigsbee looking for a sweep. Not yet Bigsbee, not yet.
Awesome engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Awesome has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bigsbee is proving hard to escape from.

Bigsbee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Awesome defends well.
Bigsbee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Awesome controls the pace.
Awesome wants to get up but he can't break Bigsbee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Awesome not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bigsbee keeping moving, preventing Awesome from controlling successfully.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Awesome's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bigsbee under the eye.
Awesome tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bigsbee was well out of range. Poor timing from Awesome.

Bigsbee tries for a takedown but Awesome circles away easily
and Awesome counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Bigsbee gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Awesome.
Awesome tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Awesome scores with a push kick.
Bigsbee is breathing heavily.
Awesome misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Awesome scores with a hook to the body. Bigsbee takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Awesome lands a big right hand that sends Bigsbee crashing to the mat! Awesome stays standing though and waves Bigsbee back to his feet!
Bigsbee is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Awesome fakes the body blow, causing Bigsbee to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Bigsbee goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
