Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gavin Mccall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van Dama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gavin Mccall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Van Dama!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dama fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mccall to the ground. Dama is now in Mccall's guard.
Mccall wants to get back to his feet but Dama passes into half guard.
Mccall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dama gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Dama shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mccall napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Dama decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mccall to his feet.
Mccall walks into a stiff left hand from Dama.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mccall throws the left hand but Dama avoids the punch easily.
Dama feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mccall uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Mccall tries to clinch but Dama is having none of it.
Dama closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dama is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mccall has escaped the position, nice work there.

Dama avoids the strikes from the bottom by Mccall.
Dama throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Mccall works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Dama closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mccall's guard.
Mccall has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Dama has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Mccall gets control of Dama's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mccall will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dama is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Dama stands up from Mccall's guard - Dama perhaps looking for a knockout.

That was a close round but I would say that Gavin Mccall will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dama has hold of Mccall's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mccall manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dama wants to finish this one by submission but Mccall is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Dama.
Mccall is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Van Dama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mccall attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Mccall jumps guard but Dama turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Mccall tries to pull guard but Dama holds him up against the cage and eventually Mccall drops back down to his feet.
Dama has Mccall pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dama pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mccall tumbling to the mat - Dama dives into Mccall's guard.

Van Dama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dama has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
