Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hifives Ghost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bronson Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Slam - By: Onyx. Bronson Hughes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bronson Hughes!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghost throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hughes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ghost.
Hughes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ghost swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Hughes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hughes throws a lazy uppercut
and Ghost counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hughes misses with a straight left.
Hughes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hughes jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ghost does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Hughes throws a leg kick but Ghost checks it.
Ghost swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Hughes scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Ghost walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hughes throws a nice looking combination but Ghost bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ghost is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Hughes walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ghost checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Ghost is looking to counter the offense by Hughes and move into the clinch.
Bronson Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ghost moves out of range as Hughes strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hughes throws a jab when Ghost was well out of range.

Hughes pulls Ghost in close to prevent any damage.

Hughes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've been hearing that Ghost has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Ghost makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Hughes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Hughes is looking for a triangle but Ghost pushes his legs off easily.
Ghost postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ghost throws a big elbow that misses.
