Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommie Mcdaniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Johnsons!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnsons looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mcdaniel!
Mcdaniel tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Johnsons trying to control the position but Mcdaniel is working away.
Mcdaniel could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mcdaniel struggling a bit here.
Johnsons tries to stand but Mcdaniel is controlling his head.
Mcdaniel gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Johnsons shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mcdaniel's guard.
Mcdaniel pulls Johnsons in close to his closed guard and prevents Johnsons from doing any damage or advancing position.
Johnsons tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcdaniel is retaining full guard.
Johnsons engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Johnsons trying to control but Mcdaniel is working from the bottom.

Johnsons pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mcdaniel is keeping the position for now.

Mcdaniel wants to get back to his feet.
Johnsons wants to take a breather but Mcdaniel is having none of it.
Mcdaniel is trying to maintain the position but Johnsons is very close to passing his half guard.

Johnsons thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mcdaniel's head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Johnsons moves into range and clinches up with Mcdaniel.
Johnsons fails to pull guard.
Johnsons is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mcdaniel is defending well for now.

Johnsons escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Johnsons shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mcdaniel manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Johnsons throwing strikes but missing.

Mcdaniel keeping moving, preventing Johnsons from controlling successfully.
Mcdaniel is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mcdaniel seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Johnsons sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Mcdaniel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Johnsons wants to stand but Mcdaniel is controlling his posture from full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mcdaniel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Mcdaniel tries to work over Johnsons's front leg with a kick but Johnsons checks it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnsons.
It looked like Mcdaniel was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Mcdaniel tries a head kick but it misses.
Mcdaniel pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Johnsons back to the cage. Mcdaniel follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mcdaniel!

Johnsons takes the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Johnsons showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Mcdaniel shoots for a takedown but Johnsons saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Johnsons throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcdaniel's waist but Mcdaniel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnsons off to one side.
Mcdaniel went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Johnsons manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mcdaniel on his heels. He'll look to pass Mcdaniel's guard now, I'm sure.
Johnsons in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Johnsons with a flurry of punches that miss.
Johnsons content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Johnsons postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Johnsons drops back looking for a leg! Mcdaniel is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mcdaniel manages to kick Johnsons off! Johnsons jumps back into Mcdaniel's guard.

Johnsons takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Mcdaniel is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Mcdaniel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Johnsons trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcdaniel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Johnsons's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Mcdaniel is pulling down on Johnsons's head to control his posture.
Johnsons postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Mcdaniel pulls Johnsons in close to prevent any damage.
Mcdaniel controls Johnsons momentarily but Johnsons frees himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Johnsons tries to clinch there but Mcdaniel circles away.
Mcdaniel is looking for a counter combo.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnsons.
Mcdaniel goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Johnsons has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mcdaniel tries to land a leg kick but Johnsons saw it coming and moves away.

Johnsons fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mcdaniel sprawls well initially but Johnsons persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mcdaniel is trying to escape back to his feet but Johnsons uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Johnsons is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mcdaniel has escaped the position, nice work there.
Johnsons is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Johnsons tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnsons has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Johnsons works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mcdaniel is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Johnsons is looking to take a break and control but Mcdaniel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Mcdaniel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Johnsons wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcdaniel keeps working.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mcdaniel can't do much from the bottom here.

John Johnsons comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Johnsons winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
