Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Carbuncle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harry Carbuncle has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rashad Reilly's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Harry Carbuncle!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reilly doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Carbuncle counters with a one-two to the body.
Reilly takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Carbuncle looking to throw knees to the head but Reilly is blocking nicely.

Carbuncle lands a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reilly can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carbuncle controls the pace.
Carbuncle tries to free his leg and advance position but Reilly is retaining full guard.
Reilly is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Reilly is adopting a defensive guard.

Carbuncle with a flurry of punches that miss.
Reilly avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Reilly really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carbuncle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Carbuncle moves into the clinch.
Reilly has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Carbuncle after a bit of a struggle.

Carbuncle turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Carbuncle manages to end up in side control.
The referee asks Carbuncle politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Carbuncle prefers to stall for the moment though.

Reilly stops Carbuncle from passing to mount.
Carbuncle sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Reilly is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Carbuncle is staying tight to Reilly's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Carbuncle tries to score with some ground and pound. Reilly controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Carbuncle has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Harry Carbuncle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carbuncle tries to bum rush Reilly with a series of wild strikes but Reilly uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Carbuncle closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Carbuncle breaks from the clinch.

Carbuncle throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Reilly was covering up waiting for the punch and Carbuncle finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Carbuncle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Carbuncle leaves Reilly with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Reilly shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Reilly moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromCarbuncle.
Carbuncle throws a head kick that misses.
A little feinted left hand from Reilly on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Harry Carbuncle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Reilly changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Carbuncle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Carbuncle wants to pass the guard but Reilly is defending well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Carbuncle throws a strike aimed at the side of Reilly's head but Reilly avoids it well.
Reilly is letting Carbuncle control him for a moment.
Carbuncle trying to control the action but Reilly is working from the bottom.
Reilly takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Carbuncle is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Reilly has escaped the position, nice work there.
Reilly tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carbuncle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Carbuncle is trying to ground and pound but Reilly uses the momentary lack of control by Carbuncle to regain half guard.
Well, if Carbuncle is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Carbuncle moves into full mount! Reilly won't be happy about that!

Carbuncle is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Reilly has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Reilly!
Carbuncle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Reilly is fighting to break Carbuncle's control of his arms but Carbuncle is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Carbuncle manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reilly manages to get himself to full guard.

Carbuncle closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Carbuncle.
Reilly is looking for a takedown.

Carbuncle tightens his grip and picks Reilly up, before dumping him to the ground. Reilly manages to land in guard.
Carbuncle passes Reilly's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Carbuncle is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Carbuncle is thwarting Reilly's attempts to control the position.
Carbuncle has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Carbuncle lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Carbuncle seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Carbuncle is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well Carbuncle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
