Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rudy Mays (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Hardon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rudy Mays!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivan Hardon!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardon lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Rudy Mays has been cut.
Mays lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Mays stuffs the takedown attempt from Hardon. Hardon gets slowly back to his feet.

Hardon dives in and scores a takedown into Mays's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mays is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mays wants to sweep here but Hardon controlling him for the moment.

Mays bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hardon's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mays seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hardon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mays has control of Hardon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hardon regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Hardon has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Mays rushes Hardon and presses him up against the cage.
Mays tries to score a body lock takedown but Hardon shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hardon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mays is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Mays gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Mays gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Mays apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Hardon moves into range and clinches up with Mays.

Mays has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hardon regains guard immediately.
