Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vike Nickolson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rei Higuchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nickolson forces Higuchi back against the cage and clinches.
Nickolson presses Higuchi against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Higuchi is trying to push Nickolson away but Nickolson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nickolson lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Rei Higuchi has been cut.

Nickolson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Higuchi trying to control the position from guard on top but Nickolson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Higuchi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nickolson keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Higuchi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Nickolson is trying to control but can't.

Higuchi seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Nickolson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Rei Higuchi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
