The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dux clinches up against the cage.
Pappalardo lands a body shot.
A right handed body shot lands from Pappalardo.
Pappalardo lands a nice uppercut.
Dux fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dux tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Pappalardo prevents a takedown attempt there.
Pappalardo gets underhooks to prevent Dux's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Dux. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pappalardo misses with a short punch on the inside.
Dux fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dux tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pappalardo smiles and moves away.
Pappalardo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Dux is rocked!
Pappalardo sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Dux's defenses. It connects perfectly with Dux's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

A relieved looking Derek Pappalardo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
