Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Armenian Fire!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James swats away the attempt to clinch by Fire.
James lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
James lands a jab to the nose.
Fire tries to clinch up.
Eddie James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fire throws a head kick that misses
and James counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
James throws a good cross that connects.
James lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Fire at a distance.
James is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Fire wants to clinch.
James throws a big counter combination but Fire scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James thuds a left hand into Fire's body.
Fire with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling James to score with a decent uppercut.
Crunch! James slams his shin into Fire's torso.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fire shoots in looking for a takedown but James manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fire's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
James throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fire walks into a straight right hand from James.
James jabs Fire right on the nose. Fire blinks but takes it well.

Oooooh!!! James has knocked Fire down with a huge combo! James steps away and waves a wobbly Fire back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Fire is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fire walks into a left hand.
Fire is still on wobbly legs! Can James finish him?
Some wild striking there from James.
James lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
James throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Fire's jaw, knocking him onto his back! James dives in looking to finish as Fire flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block James's strikes! James is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Fire's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Fire was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie James!
After winning the bout, Eddie James thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
