Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zell Griever (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samppa Linna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griever tries to move into range but Linna moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Linna shoots in but Griever avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Samppa Linna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Griever enables Linna to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Griever manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Linna can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Griever controls the pace.

Griever got a little sloppy there for a moment and Linna has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Griever has managed to get both his arms back between Linna's legs - danger averted.
Linna is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Linna drives through with a takedown into Griever's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Linna has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Griever can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Griever controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Linna told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Griever stands and throws Linna's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Zell Griever will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Griever counters with a huge left! Linna is in big trouble! He's backing up but Griever isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Linna from any more damage. A dominating finish by Griever!
