With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, AJ Rumble!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rumble moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Rumble tests James's chin there with a solid looking shot.
James fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rumble is clearly trying to counter these attacks from James with a body shot.
Rumble bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
James fails with an attempt to clinch.
James tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Rumble counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like David James has been cut.
James wants to clinch up but Rumble keeps it at a distance.
James moves in looking to clinch but Rumble pushes him off.
David James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rumble connects with a body shot that sends James's belly button to the back.
James wants to clinch
enabling Rumble to counter with a crisp jab.
James throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Rumble counters with a right hand to the body.
James tries to clinch up
and Rumble connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rumble circles away from the clinch attempt
enabling Rumble to counter with a crisp jab.
James tries to clinch but Rumble is having none of it.
James misses with a combination
and Rumble counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
James wants to clinch but Rumble slips to the side
and Rumble counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rumble darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Rumble cracks James with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
James lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rumble lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Rumble punishes James's body with a nice straight punch.
James tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Rumble counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James wants to clinch
and Rumble connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
James is looking to clinch.
Rumble looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
James looks to clinch
and Rumble counters with a stiff right hand.


David James's cut is getting worse.
Rumble lands a glancing blow to the side of James's head.
James needs to keep his hands up - Rumble had a free shot at his head there.

Rumble cracks James with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rumble has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning James to stand back up!


James is rocked!

Rumble cracks James with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! James looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Rumble finish him?
Oh James is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!


David James's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
James closes the distance looking to clinch
and Rumble counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rumble drops James with a big left hand! James is injured, injured bad! Rumble jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). AJ Rumble!
During a confident post fight interview, AJ Rumble thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
