Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krystian Olafsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Instant Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Instant Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fighter is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Olafsson with a body shot.
Olafsson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fighter looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Olafsson swings widly with a right hand
and Fighter makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Olafsson is breathing heavily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've been hearing reports that Olafsson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Fighter lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Olafsson backwards.
Fighter's coach down at Irish Collar & Elbow Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fighter's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Fighter has picked Olafsson up - he's going for a ride! Fighter dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fighter is nestled in close to Olafsson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Olafsson is looking to improve his position.

Olafsson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fighter scores with a couple of nice shots.
Fighter slips a nice elbow through Olafsson's hands, connecting with Olafsson's forehead.

Fighter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Olafsson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fighter lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fighter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Fighter is stalling here. Olafsson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Fighter seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Olafsson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Olafsson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fighter knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Fighter can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Instant Fighter dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Olafsson tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Fighter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Olafsson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Olafsson there as he acknowledges the shot.

Fighter throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Olafsson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fighter is in Olafsson's guard.

Olafsson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Fighter rolls with it to try and escape but Olafsson cranks on the arm and Fighter is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Krystian Olafsson!
As Krystian Olafsson got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Much respect to my opponent, Im sure I will see him again'.
